Woman from Division

Part of Michelle is still at Milliways. The coziness of their apartment there, the warmth of friends, the easy laughter, all those are things she misses here.

Her mother never really did accept her choice. But, it was her decision and every morning that she woke up in Tony's arms, she thanked whatever was out there for their second chance. Her mom would come around. Or she wouldn't.

But, this place held too many memories - long nights of insomnia, tears, doubt...she wanted to move somewhere else, start over with new things. A fresh start, of sorts, although it was an unspoken understanding that they needed to stay near LA.

Her hands deftly wrap a picture frame in white paper and put it gently into the open box. She looks at one, taken at their first wedding. Tony, her, and her dad.

It would be easy to sneak up on her.
