After a brief stop at her room where she changed and washed up, Chris arrives at room 48.

She knocks on the door.

Michelle opens the door. She's got the DVD on and a bowl of popcorn that she grabbed when she stopped by the Bar.

"Hi, come in."

"Hey," she says, entering the large room. She hadn't seen one of the rooms that had been refurbished and had wondered what Jack meant when he talked about that.

Now she had a better idea.

Michelle walks ahead of her, "Do you want the tour?"

"Sure, if you don't mind."

[chelleuncurled]

"It won't take very long," she gives her a small smile. "This is the living room and through that door is the bedroom and bathroom. Tony's still at the reception so you won't bother him."

She looks around the rooms. "It's nice. Jack was talking about getting an addition added onto his room, I wasn't sure what it would look like."

"Tony talked to Bernard... honestly I don't really understand how any of this works," she admits. "That is probably a good idea for him."

"Yeah, the logistics of this would be impossible to figure out." Not that Chris won't hurt her pretty little brain trying!

"I think so too," she says quietly.

"I'm not sure that Einstein could explain some things that happen here...," she gives her another small smile, "Or Scully for that matter."

"Do you want to sit?"

"Sure," Chris says and takes a seat at the small couch.

Michelle sits next to her, "Before we watch the DVD...do you want to talk?"

Chris nods. "Yeah, sure."

She's not entirely sure how much she'll talk but it seems like a good idea.

And Michelle has no idea how to start this so it'll be a good combination.

She turns to face her, "So, how have you been?"

"I've been all right," she hedges.

"I've been spending a lot of time with my dad, a lot of which has to do with him not letting me out of his sight."

"Because of Ramon's threat?"

Chris nods. "It's a little tiring."

"I made the mistake of...well, I thought I could do a little undercover work with him. Not such a bright move."

"At least you were trying to do something. I just let myself get cornered by him twice."

"Yeah, I got your note," she rubs her eyes for a moment. "And then what Tony told me yesterday..."

"Yeah," she bites her lower lip.

"Michelle, I'm very sorry about that. Both times, I never intended for that to happen. I've already spoken with Tony about it."

"Oh, I wasn't talking about that...," she looks down, "It's okay, Chris. He would have figured out I was in the bar eventually. I don't think he's made the connection yet."

Chris still felt guilty about both times. Guilty and foolish.

"That's good that he hasn't figured it out yet."

"The second time you didn't have much of a choice anyway, Chris."

Chris shakes her head. "Maybe. Maybe not."
